Agua Y Mas Ministries began with a simple prayer in Maggie’s heart in 2009—a prayer for children and mothers who had suffered abuse, violence, and abandonment. She felt God calling her to create a home where they could finally feel safe, loved, and valued. In 2011, that calling became a reality, and Agua Y Mas opened its doors to provide clean water, God’s Word, and a nurturing, loving environment for those who needed it most.
From the beginning, our mission has been to offer more than shelter. We provide a family setting where children and mothers experience stability, daily care, and healthy examples of love, respect, and compassion. Many who come to us arrive deeply hurt—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Here, they learn what it feels like to belong, to be supported, and to be surrounded by people who truly care about their healing and future. This family environment is at the heart of everything we do, because we believe children heal best when they feel safe, seen, and loved.
Today, Agua Y Mas Ministries cares for 45 children and adolescents, supported by 17 dedicated volunteers, including Maggie and her daughter Amandalina. Together, they create a home where each child is guided, encouraged, and reminded that their story is not over—there is hope, there is healing, and there is a future filled with purpose.

“Living water brings strength, God’s Word brings direction, and love brings healing to every heart we serve.”
